Strikeman Laser Firearm Training System - Where is it?

This article is written from an experience using the European webshop since I am based in the EU. Any experience using the US site may differ. This english version of the article is intended to help consumers that may be interested in this product and may or may not be a one off.

It seems exciting. A small laser cartridge that fits in your gun, a target, an app and stand for the phone. A training system that can be used at home and that gives direct feedback on your hits. Definitely sounds interesting!


Little did I know, that the test and review of the Strikeman Laser Firearm Training System would never happen. The company's website is available for both the US and the European market. The website stated "pre-order" so honestly I do not expect delivery at once. However, it also stated a date just a few days in the future when they would start shipping. In addition to this, there would be 3-5 days of express delivery. Sounds good to me was my first reaction.


I found a basic system that would fit my equipment and placed an order worth € 85, reduced from € 199. A good discount was my first thought and the warning signals that probably rang were not heard by me at the time. Including shipping, the price tag finally landed at € 121. Which, of course, a great price for such a product. Once the order was placed, I received an automated text SMS stating "we will get in touch when we ship your product".


But the planned shipping date passed and new ones appeared on the website and passed. No email or text message stating that the order was sent. I knew it was a preorder and gave it some time, but I still contacted the support, getting no response. Now all the red flags were raised and in full view. A further reading up online shows a completely different side of the company. It turns out with all the unwanted clarity that I am not the only customer who has not received either product or information about when it will be shipped. Many of these in December, but also customers all the way back from summer of 2021 seem to have had problems reaching the company.


Despite obvious problems with getting the product to the customer, new planned delivery dates are published every week on the company's website. They neither mention anything that they have delivery problems or give possible explanations to the customers who do not receive a product. The reduced price remains on the page with discounts and to attract new customers despite the fact that existing orders have not been completed. The discount codes and themes have changed from "before Christmas discount" to "end of year discount" to "New Year discount" during the time I visited the website.


I get in contact with PayPal via who I paid for the product and say that I did not receive it and want to cancel the purchase. PayPal then contacts the company and let them respond to my complaint. A week later I receive an email from paypal saying that they have ruled in my favor in my case, and I will be refunded. It is possible (but I do not actually know) that the company did not make an effort to answer PayPal's question either. Suddenly, the night before this article is to be published, I finally get an email from strikeman, just the day after PayPal said would refund me. Almost as if someone suddenly felt bad at the Strikeman office, or perhaps is it that they want to keep my money? This is what they wrote:


Hello Stefan,

Thank you for your email. Your order was placed as a preorder and we expected any outstanding orders to begin shipping in early December. However, due to the impacts of the Omicron variant of COVID-19, international shipping complications caused by the global shipping crisis, and unprecedented demand, our inventory has been delayed past it’s expected date.

We are doing everything we can to get you your order as soon as possible and we are incredibly sorry for this inconvenience. Further, we understand that a lot of you have purchased a Strikeman system as a Christmas gift and are sorry that we weren’t able to meet that delivery date.

Our team is working as diligently as they can to process orders and ship packages when inventory is available. During this time, we sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding. Please keep an eye on your email as we will update you with tracking by email as soon as your order is able to ship.

Kindly let us know if there is anything else or if you have any other questions and we would be happy to assist.

At first glance, the answer sounds perfectly reasonable. Until you remember that the same explanation, minus the Christmas present, has been used since at least summer of 2021 (if you read far enough back in the comments on Facebook). In addition, the answer to my emails comes only after PayPal has refunded me the money. Furthermore, Strikerman still provides no information on their website about the above difficulties in fulfilling orders. In addition to this they still have their fantastic discounts left and attract new customers. No, this answer feels terribly out of contact with reality.


It is conceivable that there are actually those who have actually received products from this company. There is a profile on Facebook called strikeman and it may be the company's own, the company seems to have responded to occasional comments there. Regardless, this site is completely littered with negative reviews regarding non-delivery and new posts come almost daily. Strikeman's own website is of course in contrast full of positive reviews, but the comments have started to receive thumbs down votes.


Refraining from purchase is the only recommendation I can make at present. I do not have the opportunity to review the product itself. If it is available and delivered, it may be the most amazing thing there is, but it feels a bit like waiting for Santa. Mantis has a similar product, Mantis Laser Academy. I got it delivered in two days after ordering it and a test of that will be here in two weeks. See you then!
